Inspired by the idea of surprising a friend on her 40th birthday party because I clearly wouldn't go all the way from Scotland to Perth for a party even though I'd been invited, I did just that. I spent a couple of days in Singapore on the way and then most of the week catching up with friends including going along to Robert Lewis' 5th birthday party.
