The first stage of my trip was to Canada. I flew into Toronto where I spent 4 nights. One night was a bonus extra night because they cancelled my flight and put me on the flight the day before I was originally supposed to leave. They did however pay me 400 pounds for the inconvenience which is more than twice than the flight cost so I was pretty happy. I went to Calgary for a couple of nights and then took the bus out to Kananaskis Village, a resort that services Nakiska, the ski slope they used for the Calgary Olympics downhill events.
